Woman sues Kansas priest, Diocese of Salina and Kansas City archdiocese alleging misconduct cover-up
An adult woman alleges Rev. Ryan McCandless, already facing unrelated child sex charges, used a spiritual-counseling relationship to coerce her into sexual contact in 2024, and that the Diocese of Salina, the Kansas City archdiocese and a Manhattan parish concealed her report. The archdiocese says he never served there; Salina declined comment.
